Day in the life of a ski instructor
He was born in Slovenia in Ljubljana, where he lived until his 14th birthday. When he was 7 years old, his parents enrolled him at the ski school in Kranjska Gora, where he started his first skiing steps. As a primary schooler, he often spent weekends on ski grounds, as part of the sporting days organized by the school he attended.
Skiing starts to work more seriously as a student, at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, as part of the courses she is attending at Kopaonik. It was at the first course that the idea came to him, and then the desire for skiing to become a profession. He started his instructor career in Kopaonik in 2005. At the beginning of his career for two seasons, he worked as one of the instructors in charge of group teaching of tourists from Great Britain. Working with bigger groups of skiers, he was extremely paid off because he gained valuable experience and learned how much a ski instructor really needs to be steady and patient. The challenge was the fact that these groups were often not completely homogeneous. It was a sort of test of endurance and a true school of self-confidence.
From the very beginning of the ski instructor’s career, the idea of leading him was to transfer know-how and ski skills to his students in a clearer and simpler way. What points out is the individual approach to each student. Regardless of whether it is individual or group teaching. He tries to make his classes dynamic and stimulate his students to participate actively in the learning process of skiing.
Since 2013 she has been a member of the Ski Stars Team, where she and her colleagues participate in the creation of a new generation of skiers. It tries to adapt to these new generations and their understanding of life and skiing. At all times, he tries to bring the joy that skiing gives him to the students.
His favorite tracks are Gobelja, Krčmar, and Gvozdac, where he is spending his free time skiing when he does not hold classes.
While living in Slovenia, Davorin briefly trained rugby, and for several years taekwondo. Shortly after moving to Novi Sad, he began to practice athletics in AK Vojvodina. There, by chance, he is introduced to the discipline of jumping with a pole and remains attached to this discipline to this day. His personal record is 4.30m.
Davorin graduated from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Novi Sad. Since the second year of his studies, he started working on a coaching call. In addition to skiing and athletics, he is also interested in the physical preparation of athletes. So it’s in the 2008/09 season. in KK Vojvodina engaged in the position of a fitness trainer of young categories. He spent four seasons at the club, of which the last two worked as a fitness coach for the first team.
Ski School SNOW STARS TEAM is registered for providing services of ski and snowboard training, and all the rights for providing these activities in TC Kopaonik are regulated by a contract with public company Skijalista Srbije.
With the goal of setting high standards in terms of organization, technology, and methodology, we have gathered fifty highly qualified instructors who possess IVSI and ISIA work licenses authorized by the Ski Instructors Association and Ski Association of Serbia.
Snow Stars Team – branch is consisted of instructors whose enthusiasm, cheerfulness and work ethics represent the school’s trademark. Majority of employed instructors are sports and physical education teachers.
Our system is based on their rich experience in working with children from primary and secondary schools, differents ports schools, sports camps, ski schools, as well as top competition resuts of some of the insructors.
Milan Petrović was born in 1995 at Raska. He has been skiing since his third year, starting from ski school, ski club, and ski instructor. He is multiple champions of Serbia’s giant slalom and a licensed ski instructor since the age of eighteen. Possesses an ISIA license for work issued and certified by the Ski Association of Serbia. With his colleagues and above all friends from the school where he works (and from other ski schools), he successfully trains ski school students for four years.

Klub je osnovan 31. jula 2018. godine na Osnivačkoj skupštini uz prisustvo svih njenih članova. Sedište kluba se nalazi u Novom Sadu. Za predsednika kluba jednoglasnom odlukom izabran je Dušan Knežević, Master Profesor sporta i fizičkog vaspitanja iz oblasti skijanja. Dušan je svoj život posvetio sportu i afirmaciji u njemu. Kao dugogodišnji instruktor skijanja, poseduje medjunarodnu ISIA licencu u obuci skijanja. O njegovom radu i radu samog skijaškog kluba govore zadovoljni polaznici skijanja svih uzrasta, a posebno deca.
